Feminist Lecture Series

The second edition of the Feminist Lecture series was held on June 16th at Bella Casa Hotel in Monrovia. This edition highlighted the contribution of three remarkable Liberian women who made an impact on the Feminist movement in Liberia. They were Paramount Chief Lango Lippaye, Chief Nyensuah Koko ( Madam Suakoko) and Angie Brooks Randolph, an outstanding jurist and Diplomat.

Our moderator for the event was Ms. Eva Flomo Of UNMIL Radio. Panel Guests included Fatumata Fofona, granddaughter of Chief Lango Lippaye; Ms. Annie Nushen and Ms. Cerue Liyean of WIPNET, Bong County; Sister Mary-Laurine Brown, President of Stella Maris Polytechnic (who has just written and published a book on Angie Brooks Randolph) and Ms. Veda Simpson of the Angie Brooks Centre.

The event was well attended and informative with many questions, comments and a lively discusssion.
